The core principle of an idea is to ‘solve existing problems’. Be it tracking leads, following up with customers, or team productivity, most growing organizations face difficulty in handling their pre and post-sales processes. This bootstrapped startup NeoDove is built to help them meet their sales needs and grow faster.

Founded by Arpit Khandelwal and Ankit Agarwal in January 2020, Jaipur-based NeoDove is an AI-powered end-to-end tech-enabled customer communication and reporting platform. The SaaS platform enables users to actively engage with customers.

Both Arpit and Ankit have vast industry experience. Ankit has worked in Cvent and Cardekho while Arpit having passed out from IIT Mumbai and then working in Ola realized in their interactions with several customers that there was a drastic gap between the requirements of consumers and the availability of such tools, tools that enable companies to boost their sales processes.

Arpit says, “Our product is user friendly and highly customizable, just like a subway sandwich. You can use it the way your business needs it. The user interface is quite simple and packed with essential features. The cherry on the cake is that our platform is affordable.”

Some of the features of the platform include the ability to call customers directly from the app for feedback, surveys, complaint resolution, etc, customizable script builder, messaging using SMS and WhatsApp, automatic flow of leads, AI-based smart database management, geo-tagging, real-time analytics, multi-lingual interface, and a lot more.

The platform seamlessly integrates with JustDial, MagicBricks, 99 Acres, India Mart, FB Ads, and many other auto portals.

Arpit is also involved in his family business that is into the auto retail business. They launched the beta version in March and gave it to few known auto retail dealers across India to check the feasibility and usability of the product. It helped him gain much-needed insights and improvements to be implemented within the product. The platform worked like a charm and was then soon extended to other customers.

However, by April, India was struck by COVID-19 and a nationwide lockdown was in place. Most of the retail outlets and companies had to close their offices and were unable to be in touch with customers and extend their services. Companies across Realestate, Fintech, Edtech, and Automobile were looking for solutions that would enable them to be in touch with customers and extend their services and at the same time keep their employees productive.

With a load of email campaigns and ‘old-school‘ cold calling techniques combined with extended free trials of the platform, NeoDove was able to bring on board quite a few customers.

The startup’s journey that started with just 2 core members has grown to 25 employees spanning across India.

Ankit says, “The most challenging part of our journey was to find the right talent who shares the same passion, enthusiasm, and madness to excel. The startup culture is not very shaped in Jaipur and finding the right people is a big bottleneck. People from bigger cities were not ready to relocate. However, the pandemic was a blessing in disguise and we shifted to the ‘work-from-home‘ model right in time. This enabled us to find talented people from other cities.”

At NeoDove the culture prevalent is of compassion. The founders strongly believe it is possible to build a great product, enjoy at work, and at the same time be compassionate towards each other. Open discussions and feedback sessions are the norms. There is no hierarchy and anybody can approach anyone

NeoDove has been using a combination of Inbound and Outbound marketing techniques; ‘Word-of-mouth‘ being one of them. Around 30% of its customers are from referrals. The startup ensures that their customers like their product and consequently recommend it to others. Apart from this, the startup is actively focusing on social media platforms to increase brand visibility.

Within a short span of being in business, Neodove has managed to develop an impressive client portfolio. At present they have more than 500 users spanning across 9 cities in India and have been instrumental in helping them connect with more than 4 lakh leads in the last 2 months.

NeoDove is used by automobile dealers of OEM like Maruti, Honda, Hero, Bajaj Auto, BMW, Renault, Tata Motors, Royal Enfield, etc. The platform is becoming popular among big players in fintech (LenDenClub, CredFlow & RSB Finance), edtech (Expertrons & Inlingua), and real estate (Agami Builders & Platinum Group) industry.

In the upcoming years, NeoDove aims to internationalize their platform and reach out to other developing nations where technology adoption is still in a nascent stage.
