The Indian electric car market is projected to reach ₹4,592 crores by 2025, according to P&S Intelligence. The market is predominantly driven by government schemes, growing environmental concerns, and falling battery prices. Several incentives, such as tax rebates, grants, and subsidies, have been launched by the central and state governments in order to increase electric car adoption in the country.

To encourage the growth of the electric vehicle (EV) industry in India, the government has developed a two-pronged strategy aimed at both buyers and manufacturers: ₹9,800 crores in subsidies are to be offered, followed by a hike on import tariffs within the next year to spur domestic companies to build the vehicles.

Here is the list of electric vehicle manufacturing startups that are disrupting the industry. The list is not ranked in any manner.
