Art social network and discovery startup Skillbox has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Sandip Ranjhan, a leading US-based angel investor. The Gurugram-based startup will use the funds to scale up its technology and strengthen the product along with fueling its marketing budget.
Founded by Anmol Kukreja, Nitish Bhardwaj and Ravi Pardhi, the startup provides an art community platform which connects musicians, artists, photographers and art enthusiasts with businesses in order to collaborate and present their work.
Skillbox also provides a discovery platform to help people find and book various artists based on their requirements from a database of verified artists across various fields. The artists get a platform to showcase their talents by creating appealing profiles and gain visibility by promoting their work.
Commenting on the investment, Anmol Kukreja, Co-founder and CEO, Skillbox, said, “We are really pleased with the faith the investors have shown in us. During 2017-18, Skillbox witnessed tremendous growth. More than 2000 artists and 100 venues are listed on the platform. More than 1,200 gigs are being facilitated and INR 1 crores worth of business has been generated for artists inv various categories.
