Gurugram-based coworking startup GoHive has raised ₹2.5 crores from undisclosed investors to expand its operations. The coworking space currently operates seven centers in the NCR region. The latest fundraising will help the startup double its size and reach 5,000 seating capacity within one year as well as expand to Bengaluru and Mumbai.
“GoHive has raised ₹ 25 million in a pre-Series A round from seasoned angel investors to fuel its growth and expansion plans,” a company statement said.
The startup launched its biggest hub in Udyog Vihar, Gurugram in May this year. GoHive is launching a new center in Golf Course Extension Road in Gurugram next month. The startup aims to become one of the most demanded choices for collaborative working spaces across India for young entrepreneurs.
“The round has showcased investors’ confidence in our business strategy and our initiative to make spaces more accessible and suitable to different business needs, empower young companies, and enable deeper business inclusion in the ecosystem,” said GoHive Founder & CEO Mishu Ahluwalia said.
The coworking segment in India is on the rise because of the huge demands of quality workspaces from startups, entrepreneurs, and SMEs. The segment already contributes 15-20% in total office space leasing sector. According to a report by JLL, the coworking spaces will take over the conventional spaces in the coming years.
