Bengaluru-based learning platform for developers, Crio has raised ₹7 crores in seed funding from a group of former Flipkart employees including co-founder Binny Bansal and B2B e-commerce platform Udaan’s co-founders. Ravi Garikipatiis and Mekin Maheshwari, founder of Udhyam Learning Foundation also participated in the funding round.
The startup will use the freshly raised capital to build its product and scale its team. Furthermore, it is looking forward to adding more modules to its existing portfolio to serve a wider base of technological skills.
Founded by Rathinamurthy R and Sridher Jeyachandran in January 2018, the startup has developer bases with about 40 lakh professionals and counts VISA, Flipkart and Capillary as its esteemed clients. Despite of such a large developer base, the talent supply is not sufficient in terms of requirements and that makes them costlier for startups.
Rathinamurthy accepts this as a challenge to be solved in the upcoming years.
The startup has plans to partner with engineering colleges to make sure that graduates and engineers that come into the market possess skills and be industry ready to excel at their jobs.
