InnerChef raises ₹43 crores from Mistletoe, Saha, Das Capital, M&S, Brand Capital

Gurgaon-based online cloud kitchen platform InnerChef has raised ₹43 crores (~ $6.17 million) in a pre-Series B round of funding from investors including Mistletoe, Saha Capital, Das Capital, M&S Partners and Brand Capital. The firm plans to use the freshly raised capital to strengthen its brand portfolio.

Rajesh Sawhney, Founder and CEO, InnerChef, said in a press statement, “InnerChef’s multi-brand strategy has delivered outstanding results in 2018. The fresh funding will be used to strengthen the brand portfolio. Healthie, for instance, has become a category-defining brand in 2018. We are also using the fresh round of funding to further strengthen our shared kitchen platform across India.”

Founded by Sanjeev Singhal, Bal DiGhent and Rajesh Sawhney in 2015, the startup operates multiple brands under it including Bombay Sandwich Company, YumYumDili, YumYumSouth, Thalis of india and Healthie. The sub-brand Healthie started operations in August last year and works across 18 kitchens in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Noida, Delhi and Gurgaon.

InnerChef has raised more than ₹86 crores in 5 funding rounds till date. Earlier in October 2018, the startup raised ₹12.6 crores from Mistletoe. The same investor invested ₹17.5 crores in the startup in October 2016. The healthy food market in India is rising at light speed. Till 2016, the market touched ₹10,000 crores in revenue.
