startup reality show

Startup world and drama are synonymous today. With all the buzz including Stayzilla founder being arrested by police as well as a Noida based company involved in a ₹3,700 crore scam, the startup world can be loved or hated but cannot be ignored. Another founder has published a post accusing his wife having affair with the third co-founder.

Raghu Ram and Rajiv Lakshman, best known for their show among the youth, MTV Roadies, has now announced to that they would be cohosting India’s first startup reality show.

“This exciting new show will be all about gutsy young minds keen on achieving their dreams,” said Raghu Ram. “Rajiv and I saw a lot of potential in the idea and sat with MTV to conceptualize the show. We will not only be hosting but producing the show as well. We already have a long-standing connection with the country’s youth thanks to Roadies and aim to boost their confidence with this show.”

MTV Roadies was a hit instantly being launched in 2003. Startups have seen a boom in the last 5 years in India, with a huge amount of capital inflow in the country. Some TV shows like Bloomberg India’s The Pitch, and The Vault, which aired on ET Now was quite a success among college students and budding entrepreneurs.

“When we were starting out, Raghu and I had to go through a lot and so we understand their struggle. It takes a lot to give up on everything and start something of your own and we are here to make it easier for them,” says Raghu to TOI.

However, the format of the show has yet not shared with the media, we can expect the show to be a hit because it’s not hard for the Roadies-duo to conceptualize and add drama, terror with a bit of adrenaline rush in the show. We will definitely keep you updated.
