Global search engine giant Google has opened applications for its third cohort of Launchpad accelerator in India. The Google Launchpad Accelerator mentors early-stage startups from various sectors on several aspects including business, technology, product strategy, marketing, and leadership.
The company is primarily looking for startups in the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning sectors. The startup should have preferably raised at least seed funding and should be working towards solving problems in India using advanced technologies like AI, ML and Big Data.
Paul Ravindranath, program manager, Launchpad Accelerator India, said: “The program theme Solve for India, focuses on mentoring startups that seek to address some of India’s most complex problems in the areas of healthcare, fintech, sustainability, among several others, using AI/ML technology.”
The cohort will receive mentorship and guidance from the best of Google in fields like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Android, Product Strategy and Marketing. The selected startups will also receive Google Cloud credits worth INR 14 lakh to INR 70 lakh each.
Google earlier organized Google’s Solve for India roadshow in 2017 where 10 startups were shortlisted from across the nation for four days of one-on-one consultation with experts and mentors from the industry to help them with solving critical product and growth-related challenges.
The applications are open till 18th of August 2019 and the batch will start with a 1-week Bootcamp in mid-October in Bengaluru.
In the last batch of Google Launchpad Accelerator, several startups across fintech, healthcare, sustainability and more were provided with mentorship. The expectations for startups is high with the latest cohort. Some startups that were a part of Google’s early cohort are Wysa, GenRobotics, and MultiBhashi.
