Bengaluru-based Whatfix which is run by Quicko TechnoSoft Labs Pvt. Ltd has raised ₹24 crores ($3.6 million) in a Series A round led by Stellaris Venture Partners.
The funding round also witnessed participation from existing investors like Helion Ventures and Powerhouse Ventures. Angel investors including Girish Mathrubootham, the founder of Freshdesk; Aneesh Reddy, the co-founder of Capillary Technologies; Gokul Rajaram and Vispi Daver invested as well.
The startup will use the funds to enhance its research and development department and strengthen its presence in the US and other countries as well. The company’s customer base shares 60 percent clients from the US.
“User on-boarding, training, and support are challenges faced by pretty much all enterprises, which spend $500 billion-plus on software every year. Whatfix’s product is a quantum leap improvement over the current approach of user help through static articles and manuals,” said Alok Goyal, partner, Stellaris Venture to VCCircle.

Whatfix was founded in 2013 by an IIT-Bombay graduate Khadim Batti who earlier served as the head of business intelligence department in Huawei Technologies and Vara Kumar who earlier worked in business intelligence and deep packet inspection solutions department at Huawei.
Whatfix allows businesses and individuals to create support FAQs, training material and interactive tutorials, which can be integrated across all user touch-points inside web applications. The company has a portfolio of esteemed clients such as Hewlett-Packard, Booking.com, Wyndham Worldwide and US space agency NASA.
Earlier the company raised ₹5.5 crores in seed funding from Helion Venture Partners.
