ShoeKonnect, the Agra-based business to business footwear startup has raised INR 3 crores in a funding round led by Info Edge, the parent company of the job portal Naukri.com and real-estate portal 99acres.com.
Info Edge has increased its share from 20 per cent to 27.27 per cent with the latest investment, according to the firm’s stock exchange filings. Info Edge has earlier invested another INR 3 crores in ShoeKonnect in April this year acquiring a 20 per cent stake.
Founded by Sidhharth Vij, Siddharth Rastogi and Chaitanya Rathi in 2014, the startup provides a platform to help footwear enterprises to communicate and connect with each other and expand their businesses. ShoeKonnect helps manufacturers, suppliers, traders, and retailers connect with each other.
Info Edge has been actively investing in Indian startups. Its portfolio includes food tech startup Zomato, edtech startup Meritnation, policy aggregator PolicyBazaar as well as Happily Unmarried among many others.
Earlier in August this year, Info Edge and WaterBridge Ventures invested in health tech startup MedCords. Last year in December 2017, the company invested INR 12.5 crores in edtech startup Univariety. While in November that year, it pumped INR 38 crores in Meritnation. Info Edge has also invested INR 8.6 crores in Canvera in September 2017.
