Security management startup CloudSEK has raised INR 14 crores in a pre-series A round of funding from Exifinity Venture Partners and StartupsXseed. The startup is headquartered in Singapore and also operates in Bengaluru. CloudSEK works on a SaaS model.
The firm plans to utilize the freshly raised capital to expand its operations in India and South East Asia. CloudSEK focuses on the security of sectors like finance, e-commerce and transportation. With the latest investment, the startup will target pharmaceutical, petrochemicals and retail industry.
The startup uses an AI-driven unified risk management platform to help clients assess their security posture in real time from the perspective of a hacker. CloudSEK’s flagship product ‘X-Vigil’ provides specific and timely warnings to help customers take necessary actions and prevent loss leading breaches.
Founded by Rahul Sasi in 2015, the startup received seed funding from M.E. Meeran Foundation, the investment arm of Kochi-based Eastern Group. Using its technology the startup provides real-time social media, surface web, dark web monitoring, credential disclosure and data leakage identification.
CloudSEK will use a major part of the capital to improve its patent product X-Vigil. The startup serves prominent clients like Federal Bank, Bank Bazaar, HDFC Bank, Grab Taxi, among many others.
